What it’s like

A free art gallery and museum with exhibitions to wander round, no ticket needed.

This is a small local gallery and museum set up on the first floor, with exhibitions that change often enough to be worth a repeat visit. There's no entry fee, which makes it an easy one to slot into a day out without committing to a full afternoon or a spend on tickets. A chair lift gets you up to the gallery and museum level, and there's a wheelchair kept upstairs if you need one during your visit.

Given it's free and open-plan, it suits a shortish visit, maybe half an hour to an hour looking round the exhibitions rather than a whole day out. The opening hours are on the tighter side though, closing at 4pm every day and only opening at 1pm on Sundays, so it's not a place to plan around a late lunch first.

Parking is at the Rottingdean West Street car park, with charges running 8am to 8pm daily. There are four disabled bays, two of which are set aside for electric vehicles with a valid Blue Badge. Toilets and an accessible toilet are on the ground floor.
