What it’s like

An 18-hole indoor crazy golf course in a basement bar, with table tennis, darts and karaoke rooms alongside it.

The main event is the crazy golf, 18 holes indoors, so rain outside makes no difference. Round that off with table tennis, interactive darts, shuffleboard and beer pong, plus private karaoke rooms if you fancy booking a bit of the venue to yourselves. Under 5s play the golf free with a paying adult, which is a nice touch given how many places charge for toddlers who barely get round the course.

It's not a toddler venue exactly, but it works for a wide age bracket. A family ticket (two adults, two children) is £36.75, or you pay per person, £8.92 under 16s and £13.65 for adults. There's no entrance fee if you just want food and drinks without playing, and concessions are available for students, senior citizens and NHS staff. Carers go free when accompanying someone in their care.

The catch worth knowing: it's cash free, card or phone only, and there's no outside food or drink allowed apart from a birthday cake. The venue's in a basement, so access is mainly by escalator, though there's a service lift with staff assistance if you need it, and a few of the golf holes aren't wheelchair accessible. Friday and Saturday nights turn over 18s only after 7pm, so plan an earlier visit if you're bringing children on a weekend.

Food covers loaded waffle fries, dipped baguettes, sandwiches and pizzas, with a licensed bar for the grown-ups. Birthday parties are a big part of what they do, with packages covering the golf, table tennis and beer pong alongside food and drink, though they want a 30% deposit and the balance two weeks before.
