What it’s like
A working farm with a maize maze, a barrel train ride and a pumpkin patch that turns into a fire-lit evening show in October.
Most of the year this is a farm shop with a café and a restaurant attached, but come autumn the fields behind it turn into Pumpkin Fest, and that's the bit worth planning a trip around. There's a maize maze to get lost in, a barrel train ride trundling round the site, and a pumpkin patch big enough that picking "the one" takes a while. Daytime sessions run £5.95, and if you fancy the evening version it's £12.95, with fire shows, magic and circus acts once it gets dark. The twilight version, Pumpkin Nights, lights the patch up properly and is the one to save for a Friday or Saturday if you can.
Outside of pumpkin season there's still the pick your own strawberries, though that's not running in 2026, and the farm shop itself with its gift shop next door. The café and restaurant are worth booking ahead for, especially weekends and school holidays, and they close half an hour before the farm shop does, so don't leave lunch too late in the day. Dogs are welcome on leads outside the shop, and if you're passing through in a motorhome the farm's part of the Brit Stops network, though there's no water, electricity or waste disposal laid on for it.
Winter brings a Christmas Experience with Father Christmas and elves dotted round the farm, so it's not just an autumn stop if you time it right. Opening hours are generous, 8am to 6pm most days and a bit shorter on Sundays, which gives you room to fit a visit round nap times or an early tea.
