What it’s like
Weekly cheer, gymnastics and dance classes for ages 3 and up, from first tumbles to competitive teams.
This is a classes set-up rather than a one-off visit, so think term-time regular slot rather than a day out. The youngest group, Tiny Sparks, is for 3 to 6 year olds and covers gymnastics or dance without any competitive pressure, which is exactly the right pitch for a three-year-old who just wants to roll about and be cheered on.
From age 6 it splits into two paths. Fundamentals Cheerleading builds toward joining a team, and Fundamentals Gymnastics works through a tumbling awards programme, so there's a clear sense of progress for a kid who sticks with it rather than just turning up and bouncing. Once they hit 7 there's the option of Allstar Cheer & Dance, which is the serious end of things, competitive teams with international travel, and that one runs right up to adult age, so older siblings or even a parent with a competitive streak could theoretically join in too.
Timings are spread oddly across the week. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons run from 1:30pm into the evening, Wednesday starts later at 3pm, Friday is a short window from 4:15 to 7pm, and Saturday is the early one, 9:30am to 2pm. That Saturday morning slot is probably the easiest one to fit around a normal weekend if you're not keen on evening drop-offs after school.
