Speckled Frogs Playcentre

What it’s like

Indoor play with a racing slide, a ropewalk and a secure outdoor garden to spill into once the ball pit's done.

The slide is the thing here, from what they list it's a "super slick racing slide" and that's not a phrase you use for something gentle. Add a twirly tunnel slide, a ropewalk and interactive ball machines, and you've got a decent hour or two before anyone asks for a drink.

What sets this one apart from a lot of indoor play barns is the secure garden area. If you've got a day where the indoor bit feels a bit much, or you just want the kids somewhere they can properly spread out, having an outdoor option attached is a genuine plus rather than a nice-to-have.

There's food on site and free parking, both of which make the practical side of a visit easier than it sounds. Birthday parties are a proper offering too, with themed packages that bring in a mascot, princess, superhero or unicorn depending on what your child's currently obsessed with.

It's set up as a full play session rather than a quick stop, with the ball pit, obstacles and slides giving you enough to fill a morning or afternoon without needing to bolt on anything else.
