What it’s like
Locked in a themed room, your kids hunt clues and crack puzzles against the clock, with spies, mansions and detectives to choose from.
The game is simple to explain and hard to walk away from: your team gets shut in a themed room and has to find clues, crack puzzles and solve riddles before the clock runs out. Themes run from spy missions to mansion mysteries, and the site points families with younger kids toward the Spy Room or Time Agent Room rather than the trickier ones.
Minimum age is 8, and one adult needs to be in the room too, except for the dedicated Party Room and teen games. Prices depend on the day and headcount: a ten-player game on a quiet Tuesday to Thursday slot works out at £16 a head, but a two-player Friday to Monday game is £29 each, so it pays to bring a bigger group and go midweek if you can. Booking has to be done online at least 4 hours ahead, or by phone if you want something same-day, and they're strict on timing. Turn up more than 20 minutes late and you forfeit the whole booking, so build in time to find the place and use the loo first, ideally arriving 5 to 6 minutes early as they ask.
It's card only, no cash, which catches people out. There's no wheelchair access anywhere in the building bar a partial workaround in the Burns Room, where teammates can carry one player up 5 steps, which is a lot to ask of a kid's birthday group.
For parties, the Spy and Burns rooms take up to 10, and the Mansion room stretches to 18 for bigger celebrations. It sits right by Buchanan Street subway and Queen Street station, so if you are coming into town by train this is about as easy as it gets to find.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
From £16 a person for a 60 minute game with 10 players on a Tuesday to Thursday slot. A two-player game at the weekend or on a Monday is £29 each.
Do we need to book ahead?
Online bookings need to be made at least 4 hours before your slot. For same-day games you have to call instead.
What age is it suitable for?
The minimum age is 8. There is no strict cut-off beyond that, but some rooms are trickier than others based on theme and puzzles, so the Spy Room or Time Agent Room suit families with younger kids best.
What happens if we are late?
More than 20 minutes late counts as a no-show and you lose the full payment. If you are 5 to 10 minutes late, call ahead and they may still host you.
Can we pay by cash?
Card only, no cash accepted, on the day or when booking.
Is there wheelchair access?
No, the building has no lifts or ramps. The Burns Room is on the ground floor and might work for one wheelchair user if the rest of the team can help carry them up 5 steps.
Can we book a birthday party?
There is a dedicated Party Room for ages 10 to 15 taking up to 14 kids. The Spy and Burns rooms hold up to 10 players and the Mansion room up to 18 for bigger groups.
What if someone in our group cannot make it?
There is no refund for team members who do not show up on the day. Rescheduling the whole booking is free with 5 or more days notice, £20 with 2 to 5 days notice, and not possible within 48 hours.
How do we get there?
Buchanan Street subway station and Queen Street train station are both about 3 minutes walk away.
