What it’s like

A soft play zone called Kidzworld sits inside a market and food hall with proper free parking.

Kidzworld is the bit your kids will drag you towards: soft play zones, slides, ball pits and a climbing wall to have a go at. It's tucked inside a bigger market and food hall, so once they've had their fill of climbing you're already standing next to a food hall with local vendors doing everything from burgers and pizza to fish and chips, curries and churros.

Kidzworld runs Wednesday to Sunday from 10am. The Market itself only opens Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, so if you're planning a visit around the stalls as well as the play area, a Tuesday trip won't work. The Food Hall is open Wednesday to Sunday too, which lines up neatly with play sessions if you want lunch sorted in one stop.

Parking is free with over 700 spaces on site, which is the sort of number that means you're not circling for a space on a Saturday. Wheelchairs get lent out free from the market office if you need one, and the site is wheelchair accessible and pushchair friendly, so getting round with a buggy shouldn't be a fight.

There's no booking link listed, so it looks like a turn-up-and-play kind of visit rather than something you need to reserve ahead. Birthday parties are on offer too, if the climbing wall and ball pits sound like a good way to spend an afternoon celebrating.
