What it’s like
Weekly dance classes across a few genres, with a competitive team and two school productions a year for those who want the stage.
Classes cover a few different dance genres, and there's a competitive training team for anyone who fancies the more intensive route. That side isn't compulsory though, it's an audition-only add-on for kids who want to go further, arranged separately with the team lead rather than something every dancer gets pushed into.
Twice a year, in May and December, the school puts on a production. Taking part is optional, and they've clearly tried to keep it affordable: costumes are provided as part of the deal, you just sort personal bits like tights and shoes, and last year's tickets to watch were £5, which is a decent price for a proper show.
Turn up fifteen minutes before class starts. That's their ask, and it makes sense, it gives them time to introduce themselves, show you round and get your child settled before things kick off, rather than a rushed handover at the door. There's a café area for waiting, and siblings are welcome in there too as long as they're not causing havoc for other parents trying to get a coffee in peace.
Fees go out monthly by direct debit on the first of the month. There's no refund for a part-used month if you cancel mid-term, but you can cancel up to the 25th and avoid being charged for the next one, which is a fair enough cutoff as these things go. The first class is free, so it's an easy one to try before you commit to anything.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
Fees are charged monthly in advance by direct debit. The first class is free, so you can try it out before signing up.
Do we need to book a class or just turn up?
Contact them to arrange a visit first. Aim to arrive fifteen minutes early so they can show you around and settle your child in before class starts.
Is the competitive team something my child has to do?
No, it's entirely optional. If they're keen, an audition can be arranged with Miss Vicki by email.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel up to the 25th of the month and won't be charged again after that. There are no refunds for a month you've already started paying for though.
Is there somewhere to wait during class?
There's a café area with hot and cold drinks where parents and carers can wait. Siblings can wait there too, as long as they're considerate of other café users.
Can my child be in a show?
There are two productions a year, one in May and one in December, and all pupils are encouraged to join in though it's optional. Costumes are provided, you just cover personal items like a leotard, tights and shoes.
