What it’s like

Escape rooms, axe throwing and a board game café under one roof, mostly built for ages ten and up.

Most of what's on offer here needs a ten-year-old at the youngest. Escape rooms and axe throwing are both listed as ages 10+, so this isn't somewhere to bring a birthday party of six-year-olds. The board game café is the exception: tables hire out at £3 and under 12s play free if they've got an adult with them, so that's the bit to head for if your group has a mixed-age crowd. Interactive darts with soft tips is open to all ages too, which takes the edge off the axe throwing rule if you've got younger kids in tow.

For the older end, this is the sort of visit you build an afternoon around rather than squeeze in before lunch. Escape rooms and axe throwing sessions eat up time, and the board game café is set up for lingering over a table rather than a quick in-and-out. Opening hours shift through the week, starting at midday Monday to Thursday, from 10am Friday and Saturday, and a shorter Sunday window from 11am to 7pm.

Birthday parties are clearly the bigger draw for the target age group. Packages run from £55 up to £90 a player, and the longer £90 option gets you three hours instead of the 1 hour 45 minute version. Both include an escape room, private space, pizzas, drinks, decorations, team photos and a Games Master running things, so it's a proper organised event rather than just a room booking.
