What it’s like
Puzzle rooms and a hefty board game library for teens and adults, tucked just off Northumberland Street.
You're locking yourselves in a room and working through puzzles together, with a games master watching the clock and nudging you along when you're stuck. It's built for teams of 2 to 6, some rooms cap out at 5, and if your group's bigger than that you'll need to book more than one room. There's no strict age limit, but the site is upfront that the puzzles get demanding, so under 10s will likely find it a slog rather than a laugh. Anyone under 16 needs an adult in the group with them.
If escape rooms aren't quite the plan, there's a proper board game library you can hire by the table at £3 a head per hour. That's the easy, low-stakes option for a rainy afternoon or a group with mixed ages, and under 12s play those for free as long as there's an adult with them.
Birthday parties get the full treatment: the escape room itself, team photos, food options and a dedicated games master running the session. The shorter package is an hour forty-five for £55 a player, or you can stretch it to three hours for £90 if you want the day to have a bit more room to breathe. Either way, you'll want to book ahead rather than turn up on spec.
It's a short walk from Northumberland Street down Saville Row, on the right opposite Pop Up Wok, and the NCP on John Dobson Street is the nearest parking. Worth knowing before you go: there's a lift for assisted access upstairs, but the front entrance has a few steps and there are no fully accessible rooms at this location yet.
