What it’s like
An hour locked in a themed room, working together to crack puzzles and riddles before the clock runs out.
You've got 60 minutes, a room full of puzzles, and a team that needs to actually work together to get out. It's a private booking every time, so no strangers get shoved in with you, which makes it a decent bet for a family group or a birthday crowd who'd rather not perform escape-room teamwork in front of randoms. The site mentions 15 themed rooms across their locations, and some of them involve tunnels, ladders or the odd jump scare, so if you've got a kid who spooks easily, it's worth asking which room you're being put in before you commit.
Under-12s must have an adult with them throughout, and if everyone in your group is under 18 there needs to be an adult over 18 somewhere on the premises the whole time. Kids aged 12 to 16 can play some rooms unaccompanied if an adult stays on site, and under-6s go free, which is handy if childcare falls through and the baby ends up coming along for the ride (apparently plenty have slept through the whole thing).
Turn up on time. Fifteen minutes late and the Game Master starts your timer anyway, twenty minutes late and the game's cancelled with no refund, no reschedule. That's a proper faff if you've got a toddler in tow and traffic on the way, so build in slack. Bookings are non-refundable full stop, though you can reschedule free of charge if you do it more than 24 hours out. Payment's cashless, and no photos or filming inside the room itself, though you do get a free group photo after.
Parking's free on site, which takes one worry off the list. It's not wheelchair accessible though, with staircases that'll be tricky for anyone using mobility aids, so worth thinking about before you book if that affects your group.

Plan your visit
How long does it take?
The game itself runs 60 minutes, though you'll want to arrive on time for the briefing beforehand.
How much does it cost?
Under-6s go free. Beyond that the site doesn't spell out a set price, so best to check when you book.
Do we need to book ahead?
You can book online or by phone, and walk-ins are taken if there's a slot free, but don't count on that at busy times.
What age is it suitable for?
Under-12s must be with an adult throughout. Kids aged 12 to 16 can sometimes play unaccompanied if an adult stays on site, and 16 to 18 year olds can go it alone if an adult signs the waiver and stays on the premises.
What if we're running late?
Fifteen minutes late and they start your timer without you. Twenty minutes late and the game's cancelled, no refund, no reschedule, so it pays to leave early.
Is it accessible for wheelchairs or buggies?
No, there are staircases inside that make it difficult for anyone using a wheelchair or other mobility aid.
