What it’s like
Bumper bowling, laser tag and karaoke rooms under one roof, with free parking sorted for you.
Bowling's the main event here, 26 lanes with lighter balls and bumpers so a four-year-old can actually knock a few pins down instead of watching the gutter win every time. A game runs about 10 minutes a player, so with a group of six you're looking at an hour before anyone's bored. Up to six can play a lane together, which suits a birthday crowd or two families who've teamed up for the afternoon.
Beyond the lanes there's laser tag, karaoke in private rooms, escape rooms, Tenpin Putt mini golf and the usual pool tables and arcade machines to mop up any leftover energy or pocket money. A single game of bowling is £9.95 online, but laser tag at £36 for half an hour and karaoke at £25 for the same adds up fast if you're doing more than one activity in a visit. Tenpin Putt is the cheaper add-on at £5 a game if you want something quick between the big-ticket stuff.
Food comes to the lane rather than you queuing for it, pizzas and loaded fries mostly, and there's a licensed bar if the grown-ups fancy a proper break. Parking's free on site, which takes the sting out of the activity prices a bit. Walk-ins are fine but booking ahead is the sensible move for weekends, evenings or school holidays, since lanes do fill up and nobody wants to hover with a five-year-old mid-meltdown waiting for a slot.
Parties run as a two-hour weekend package, 10am to noon Saturday and Sunday, at £13.99 a child with a minimum of six kids. That covers bowling, pizza, squash, balloon modelling and a goody bag for the birthday child, which is a fair amount packed into two hours if you're organising it yourself.
