What it’s like
A locked room, a 60 minute clock, and puzzles to crack before the ship blows or the painting stays lost.
Three rooms to pick from here, each with its own story: hunt for the Holy Grail down in the Dark Ages dungeon, track down a forged painting, or launch an escape pod before the ship goes up. Whichever you book, the format's the same, you're locked in as a team and given 60 minutes to solve your way out. It's built for 12 and over, though they're upfront that younger kids have done it alongside adults, so a switched-on 10 or 11 year old with a confident group around them could well cope.
The pricing rewards a bigger group. Two of you pay £27.50 each, but get up to eight in and it drops to £20 a head, so this is one to round up cousins or a full birthday crew for rather than do as a pair. Turn up 10 minutes early for the briefing, they're strict that late arrivals lose time off the actual hour, which stings if you've had trouble finding parking.
Worth knowing before you pick a room: Escape Pod needs at least one person crawling, and Dark Ages is down a flight of stairs into the basement, so factor that in if anyone in your group would struggle with either. There's no cancelling once you've booked, only rescheduling if you give seven days notice, which is a bit unforgiving if plans change last minute.
Parking isn't on site, but Broadheath Retail Park behind the building is free for up to three hours. There are toilets on site. For a family day out or a birthday group under 16, they just ask that an adult is somewhere on site, not necessarily in the room with them.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
It depends on group size. Two people pay £27.50 each, but it drops as low as £20 a head once you've got six or more.
How long does the game last?
60 minutes once the briefing's done. Arrive 10 minutes early or you'll eat into that hour.
What age is it suitable for?
Rooms are designed for 12 and over, though they say younger kids have played alongside adults. If your whole group's under 16, they just need an adult on site, not necessarily in the room.
Do we need to book in advance?
Yes, it's a private booking for your team and the slot is blocked out just for you.
Is there parking?
Nothing on site, but Broadheath Retail Park behind the building is free for up to three hours.
Can we cancel if something comes up?
Cancellations are offered. Rescheduling is possible if you give at least seven days notice.
Are any rooms harder to access than others?
Escape Pod involves crawling for at least one team member, and Dark Ages is down a flight of stairs into the basement.
