What it’s like
An hour locked in a themed puzzle room with your family, solving clues together to beat the clock.
You pick one of three scenarios, Nottah Temple, Mutiny or Outfitters, and get 60 minutes to search the room, crack the puzzles and find your way out. Nobody actually locks the door behind you, so if it all gets too much for a nervous six-year-old you can walk. Turn up 15 minutes early for the briefing, because that's built into the 90 minutes you're booking, not extra time on top.
It's your group only in the room, no strangers thrown in to slow things down or hog the clues. That's worth knowing if you've got a competitive streak and want the win credited to your own family. Under-13s need an adult in there with them, so this isn't a drop-and-go session, you're solving it together or not at all.
Age-wise there's no cut-off, but the site is upfront that the puzzles can be a stretch for younger kids. A sharp ten-year-old might crack it faster than the grown-ups; a distracted five-year-old might just want to look at the props. Pregnant visitors are advised against the rooms generally because of uneven floors, though Outfitters is flagged as the one to book if you do go ahead.
If you fail with the clock running out but you're close, they'll sometimes let you carry on and finish properly, which takes the sting out of a near miss. You can go back and try a room again later too, though obviously you'll remember a few of the answers next time.

Plan your visit
How long does it actually take?
90 minutes all in: 60 minutes solving puzzles, plus time either side for the briefing and debrief. Arrive 15 minutes early or you're eating into your own session.
Is it OK for younger children?
There's no age limit, but they're honest that the puzzles can be too demanding for some kids. Under-13s need an adult with them in the room throughout.
Will we be stuck in there with strangers, or locked in?
Neither. You're not locked in and it's just your own group for the session, nobody else gets added in.
Can pregnant visitors take part?
They advise against it because of uneven floors and the physical side of the puzzles. If you do want to go ahead, Outfitters is the room they suggest as the better option.
