What it’s like
A room full of puzzles, a 60-minute clock and your team racing to solve it before time runs out, plus laser tag and glow golf on site.
You've got an hour to solve the story, whichever room you pick, with a games master watching your team and nobody else mixed in. There's a laser tag arena for up to 30 players and a glow-in-the-dark mini golf course too, so a puzzle room doesn't have to be the whole visit. Rob the Bank is flagged as one for the over-11s rather than younger kids, worth knowing if you've got a mixed-age group booking in.
The pricing works on group size, which is the honest way to do it but does mean the maths matters. Two players pay £27.50 each, a group of six drops to £19.17 a head, and by ten players you're at £15.50. If you're organising a birthday, the party package comes in at £23.95 and gets you a private zone, pizza and unlimited squash with a host running the show, which takes the planning off your hands.
Booking is essential and they mean it: more than 15 minutes late and your game can be cancelled with no refund, and cancellations only get rescheduled if you call within 48 hours. There's no wiggle room here, so ring ahead if you're running late rather than hoping for the best. Comfortable clothing is all they ask for, nothing fancy needed.
Parking is the genuine catch. There are only four spaces right by the building, no guarantee you'll get one, so the Skydome or Odeon multi-storey five to ten minutes' walk is the fallback most people will end up using. There are also steps into the venue and down to the lower level, which is worth flagging if anyone in your party has limited mobility.
