What it’s like
A big outdoor farm and play park where kids feed animals, walk donkeys, zip-line and hit the fun fair rides in one visit.
This is one of those places where the list of things to do is genuinely long, and that's both the appeal and the catch. You've got the animal side, guinea pigs and rabbits to meet, a farmyard to feed, a tractor safari through the countryside, and falconry displays if you time it right. Then there's the physical stuff: a zip line, a sandpit, bouncy castles, outdoor games like giant connect four, fun fair rides and laser combat when the weather allows. Superslide Mania is the indoor play centre if it starts chucking it down.
Book online rather than turning up on the day. Pay on the gate and you're stung an extra £3 a head, which adds up fast for a family. Prices shift by season too, so a September weekday is noticeably cheaper than an October weekend, and Christmas Kingdom is its own separate pricing altogether. Parking's a flat £2 a day, pre-booked or paid at the kiosk.
Farmyard Favourites shuts at 4pm even though the park runs until 5, so if the animal feeding is the bit your kids are after, don't leave it till last. Slides need arms and legs covered and socks are compulsory in soft play, small faff but easy enough to plan around. Outdoor surfaces get uneven in wet weather, worth bearing in mind if you've got a wheelchair or a buggy with dodgy wheels, though wheelchair hire is free with a refundable deposit.
There's a café and a restaurant on site, plus picnic benches dotted about if you'd rather bring your own (just not into the restaurant itself). No refunds on tickets once bought, so it pays to check the date suits before you click confirm.
