What it’s like
A free woodland walk on the edge of Warwick University, best between April and July when it's not a mudbath.
This is a straightforward one: a wander through woodland, no entry fee, no ticket to sort beforehand. It suits a slow morning or afternoon where the plan is just to get outside and let the kids poke about in the trees rather than tick off an attraction.
The site itself flags April to July as the best window to visit, which tracks. Go outside that and the paths can turn to mud, so wellies over trainers if you're going in autumn or winter. There's no on-site car park, so you'll be leaving the car on one of the Warwick University campus car parks nearby and walking in, and those car parks charge a fee.
Dogs are allowed, which is handy if a woodland walk is as much about the dog getting out as the kids. Beyond the walk itself there isn't much listed in the way of facilities, so treat it as a walk rather than a day out with extras bolted on.
