What it’s like

Puzzle rooms, VR headsets, an arcade and a rage room where you can smash things up, all under one roof.

The escape rooms are the main event: 60 minutes of hunting for keys, codes and hidden props inside a properly built set, with a briefing beforehand and a debrief after that stretches the whole thing to about 75 minutes. Under-12s can play but need an adult with them, so this works better as a family team effort than a drop-off. Phones and cameras stay in a locker for the room itself, which is the right call for keeping the puzzles a surprise but is worth knowing if you were planning to film the kids' triumphant exit.

Beyond the rooms there's a VR set-up on Meta Quest headsets, an arcade with darts, air hockey, pool and console games, and a rage room if anyone in your group fancies smashing things up properly. That last one is the bit an eight or nine-year-old will talk about for weeks, and at £25 for a solo go or £80 for up to four, it's a decent option for a birthday rather than a Tuesday afternoon.

Money adds up fast for a group. A two-player escape room is £50, and it climbs to £100 for six, so it pays to fill the room rather than book a small team. Booking has to be paid in full upfront, and there are no refunds if plans change, only rescheduling up to 24 hours before, which is a faff if a kid comes down with something the night before.

Parties run on the Basic Package, £12 a head for two hours, arcade access included, plus decorated party rooms and a café area for cake and photos. Parking's free on site for up to four hours if you register your plate with staff, and it's a short walk from both the train and bus stations if you're coming without a car.

How much does it cost?

Escape rooms run from £50 for two players up to £100 for six. VR is £15 a person, arcade games £10, and the rage room from £25 solo up to £200 for a group of ten.

Do we need to book in advance?

Yes, and full payment is taken at the time of booking. Weekends and holidays fill up, so book ahead if you want a specific slot.

Is there an age limit for the escape rooms?

No set age limit, but under-12s must be with an adult.

How long does an escape room take?

The game itself is 60 minutes, but with the briefing and chat afterwards it's closer to 75 minutes all in.

Can we cancel if plans change?

There are no refunds or cancellations, only rescheduling, and that has to happen at least 24 hours before your session.

Can we bring phones in to take photos?

Phones and cameras aren't allowed inside the escape room itself. Lockers are provided so you can leave belongings safely outside.

What about parking?

Free parking on site for up to four hours, but you need to register your vehicle number plate with staff when you arrive.

Do you do birthday parties?

The Basic Party Package is £12 per person for two hours, with arcade access, birthday décor, and a decorated café area for cake and photos.

Is it accessible if someone has a disability?

They say the rooms can accommodate different abilities, and it's best to call ahead so they can plan for specific needs.

Are the escape rooms scary?

Some are horror-themed and others are more mystery or fantasy, so it's a good idea to check the theme or ask staff before booking if you want to avoid a scare.
