What it’s like

Adults-only gym from 16, four minutes from Oxford Circus tube, with squat racks, a 50kg dumbbell rack and classes you book on the app.

This one is adults only: you have to be 16 or over to join, and there's no separate youth membership. So read it as a gym for you, or for a teenager who's old enough to train on their own.

The floor has two squat racks with an Olympic platform, which is a better setup than most central London gyms manage, and dumbbells run from 2kg up to 50kg. Classes cover Strength, Cardio, Fight, Cycle and Mind & Body, with Spin and RPM on the cycle side. Most run 45 minutes and some are 30, which is handy if you're squeezing one in before work. You don't book to use the gym itself, just walk in, but classes go through the app or the website up to 7 days ahead, or 10 if you're on Premium, and there's a waiting list when they're full.

Membership is £75 a month for unlimited gym and class access at Oxford Circus, with a £59 tier shown on the club page that looks like the off-peak or standard option. It's steep, though a monthly direct debit means you can cancel with a month's notice, and you can freeze for one, two or three months once you're past your second month, at £8 a month while frozen. Paying monthly or as a lump sum are both on the table.

Lockers take a padlock, so bring your own or pay £6 at reception for one. Book a tour and they'll throw in a BioAge check. Weekdays run 06:00 to 21:00, and they're shut on bank holidays. It's a 4-minute walk from Oxford Circus tube and about 9 from Piccadilly Circus. One last thing if you're a serial class canceller: cancelling within 4 hours of the start can fall under their misuse policy.
