What it’s like

Adults-only ballroom and Latin dance weekends and classes with Strictly Come Dancing professionals, guests must be 18 or over.

This one's strictly for the grown-ups. Guests must be 18 or over, so leave the kids with someone else and go and learn your Waltz, Foxtrot, Rock and Roll and Jive from actual Strictly Come Dancing professionals. Six-week class blocks run at £71.50, weekdays between 9am and 4pm, and there are full Dancing With The Stars weekends too, with over 7 hours of workshops split by ability from absolute beginner to advanced.

The weekends are built around the evenings as much as the dancing itself. Friday and Saturday nights run 7.30pm until midnight, Saturday brings a Black Tie Ball, and you get reserved floor-side seats to watch showcases from the Strictly stars and world champions. It's a proper occasion, not just a class in a village hall, and the smart dress code on show nights is part of the fun rather than a chore.

You don't need a partner to book in, which is worth knowing if you'd otherwise talk yourself out of it. What you do need are proper dance shoes with non-slip soles; trainers, flip-flops, wedges and bare feet are all turned away, so factor that into your kit bag. Whether you've never danced a step or you've been doing this for years, the levels are split closely enough that nobody's left flailing next to an expert.

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

Yes, there's over 7 hours of dedicated beginner classes for people with little or no dance experience, taught by Strictly Come Dancing professionals. There's also a beginners refresher hour on Saturday evening before the Black Tie Ball.

Can children come along?

The Dancing With The Stars Weekends are adults only and guests must be 18 or over.

What should I wear?

Daytime is casual, evenings are smart, and Saturday's the Black Tie Ball. You'll need proper dance shoes with non-slip soles; trainers, flip-flops, wedges and bare feet aren't allowed on the floor.

Do I need to bring a dance partner?

You can come without one and you'll still be welcomed in, though they can't pair you up with a partner for the weekend.

How much does it cost and what's included?

A 6-week class block is £71.50. The full weekend price covers 2 nights' en-suite accommodation, Friday and Saturday evening dancing from 7.30pm to midnight, and the Black Tie Ball.
