What it’s like

A bar and restaurant with breakfast through to late dinner, right by Langbank train station.

This is a food and drink stop rather than a beach day out in itself, sitting on the same road as Langbank train station, so it works well if you're arriving without a car. Breakfast runs from 10am, lunch takes over at noon, and dinner is served into the evening, later on Fridays and Saturdays. Drinks and the a la carte menu are available all day if you just want to drop in between meal times.

You don't need to book, but tables are only held for 15 minutes once you arrive, which catches people out if the train's running late. There's an advance booking option too, and if you're planning something for a special occasion they'll ask for a £10 per person deposit. That deposit is non-refundable but comes off your final bill.

Given the opening hours stretch from 10am to late every day of the week, it's a flexible one to build a day around, whether that's a proper sit-down dinner or just breakfast before heading off to explore the coast itself.
