What it’s like
Sensory play, baby massage and music sessions for babies and toddlers up to four, with birthday parties too.
Sessions here are built around sensory play with themed props, so expect scarves, textures, lights and whatever fits that week's theme going into tiny hands. There's baby massage for the younger ones and music and movement for toddlers who are steadier on their feet, which means the format flexes a fair bit depending on the age in the room.
It suits babies from birth right up to around four, though a newborn and a running-about three-year-old are getting quite different things out of the same class. That's the nature of a baby and toddler group, and it's worth going in expecting your child to get a slice of both the calm bits (massage) and the livelier bits (music and movement) rather than a full hour of either.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and there's baby changing on site, both useful when you're juggling a pram and a toddler who wants to walk. Dogs are welcome too, if that ever factors into your plans. Birthday parties are also on offer, so if the class works for your child, it's an easy option to fall back on for their first birthday party.
