What it’s like

Tractor rides, zip wires, jumping pillows and a skating rink for four to twelve year olds, no animals here despite the farm name.

This isn't a petting farm, so don't come promising your four-year-old a lamb to stroke. What you get instead is a proper outdoor session of tractor rides round the farm, zip wires, jumping pillows, mazes and a skating rink where the skates are free but the safety pads cost a bit extra. There are themed tractor rides and discos too, so it's not just static kit sitting in a field. The quad karts and mini diggers are coin operated at £1 to £2 a go.

It's aimed mainly at four to twelve year olds, and most of what's included in the ticket is unlimited turns, which is the sort of thing that actually matters when you've got a seven-year-old who wants to do the zip wire six times in a row. Advance tickets run £10 for an adult or child, with a family ticket at £37 for two adults and two children, and large groups of 20 or more get a small discount. There's no petting or animal sightseeing at all, which might catch out anyone expecting the classic farm visit.

Parking's free on site and fits minibuses, though they're upfront that anything you leave in the car is at your own risk. Dogs are welcome and free to bring in on a lead. If the weather turns really bad the park can close for the day with a rearranged date offered, but in normal rain there are covered areas and shows to fall back on. The maize maze is only open in late July, so that's one for a summer holiday visit rather than any old weekend.

Birthday parties don't come as a packaged deal here, but they'll reserve the big table in the marquee area if you bring your own decorations and cake. Groups of 200 or more can also arrange a visit on a normally closed day, though there's no refund if you need to cancel.

Plan your visit

How much are tickets?

£10 for an adult or child on an advanced single ticket, or £37 for a family of two adults and two children. Large groups of 20 or more get it for £9 each.

What ages is it suitable for?

Attractions are aimed mainly at four to twelve year olds, though they say there's fun to be had at any age.

Is there parking?

Free on-site parking that fits minibuses too. Anything left in the car is at your own risk, so don't leave valuables on show.

Can we bring the dog?

Dogs are welcome and it's free, just keep them on a lead and clean up after them.

Do you do birthday parties?

There's no set party package, but they'll reserve the big table in the marquee area for you. You'll need to bring your own decorations and cake.

What if it rains?

Some attractions may close in really bad weather for safety, but there are covered areas and shows to keep things going. If conditions get severe enough the park may close and offer a rearranged date.

Can we pay by card?

Cash or card is accepted at the gate, but the quad karts and mini diggers only take £1 coins, so bring some change for those.

Is the skating rink included in the ticket?

Skates are free to use. There's a small optional charge if you want knee and elbow safety pads.

Is there disabled access?

Most areas allow disabled access and mobility scooters, and staff can help if you need assistance.

Are there animals to see?

No, it isn't a petting farm and there's no animal sightseeing despite the name.

Can school groups visit on days you're normally closed?

For a minimum booking of 200 people the park can open on an otherwise closed day, though the no-refund cancellation policy still applies.
