What it’s like
A big indoor playframe with a black hole slide, a climbing wall and a football pitch, plus a fenced baby corner for the small ones.
The main attraction here is the 21st Century Playframe, several levels of it, with a Black Hole slide that's the obvious thing your kids will bang on about in the car home. There's a climbing wall too, seven metres of it across four separate walls, though that one's only up and running at weekends and school holidays and only when demand's there, so don't build a Tuesday visit around it. If you've got a football-mad seven-year-old, there's an indoor five-a-side pitch as well. Under-fours get their own toddler and baby section with a ball pit, kept separate from the big frame, which is handy because the drop slide isn't for under-sixes anyway.
Admission buys you an hour and a half of play, which they say isn't strictly enforced when it's quiet, but don't count on that on a Saturday. There's a height limit of 4'9" on the playframe, waivable if management's feeling generous, and socks are compulsory while shoes, watches and glasses all have to come off first, a bit of a faff with a wriggling toddler but fair enough given what's on offer. Under-fours need an adult with them on the big frame, which is one more thing to factor in if you've come solo with two kids of different ages.
Food-wise it's Cafe Oasis on site, and that's the only food and drink you're allowed in, aside from infant jars and milk, so no smuggling in a picnic. The Tea & Tumble deal on Fridays in term time gets you soft play, a kids' meal and unlimited squash for £8.50, which is decent value if you're going anyway, or you can do soft play and a drink for £5.50 if the meal's not needed. Toddler Time works similarly in term time, £8.50 for the first child and £7.50 for a sibling, food and drink included.
There's no need to book for ordinary soft play, you just turn up and check in at reception, though parties are a different matter and need booking ahead. Parking's free and on site, which takes one worry off the list before you've even got the coats off.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
It depends on the deal. The Tea & Tumble on Fridays in term time is £8.50 with a meal included or £5.50 for soft play and a drink alone, and Toddler Time in term time is £8.50 for the first child and £7.50 for a sibling with food included.
Do we need to book?
No, walk-ups are fine for soft play, you just check in at reception. Parties are the exception and do need booking in advance.
How long do we get?
Admission covers an hour and a half of play for ages six months to fourteen. They say it's not strictly enforced in quiet periods, but don't rely on that at busy times.
Is it any good for a toddler?
There's a dedicated toddler and baby section with a ball pit, kept away from the main frame. Under-fours do need an adult with them if they go on the big playframe though.
What about the climbing wall, is it always open?
It's only available at weekends and during school holidays, and even then it's subject to demand, so it's not guaranteed on a term time weekday visit.
Is there a height restriction?
The playframe is for children under 4'9" (145cm), though management can waive that at their discretion.
Can babies under six months come along?
They're free of charge if they're with a sibling who's paying, otherwise the normal admission charge applies.
What food is available?
Cafe Oasis on site does drinks, snacks and main meals with fresh ingredients. It's the only food allowed in, aside from infant jars and milk, so no outside picnics.
Is parking easy?
There's ample free parking on site.
What do we need to wear or bring?
Socks are compulsory in the playframe and shoes, jewellery, watches and glasses all need to come off first, so pack a spare pair of socks just in case.
Can we book a birthday party?
Parties start from £15.50 a child for the Classic Party with a minimum of ten guests and the birthday child going free. There are themed, football and climbing party options too, and a Platinum private hire package from £400 for evening slots.
Are older children catered for as well as toddlers?
The age range runs from six months up to fourteen, and older siblings can sometimes be admitted at management's discretion if they're with a younger child and an adult.
