Reading, Book Clubs & Storytime in Newcastle

There's not a big list of storytimes or book clubs on here for Newcastle yet, but there's a good reason to head into the city centre anyway. Books For Amnesty, about a kilometre from the centre, is a second-hand bookshop where every purchase goes towards Amnesty's work. Browsing costs nothing, and it's the kind of shop you can lose twenty minutes in while your kids hunt down something on the shelves. It's free, it's indoor, and it's step-free with toilets and wheelchair access, so it works for buggies and for anyone who needs level access. There's no set storytime slot here, it's more a wander-in-and-see-what-you-find sort of place. Good for a rainy afternoon in town, or for topping up a bookshelf at home without spending much.
