Splash Parks & Paddling Pools in Edinburgh

If you want a paddle without going far from town, Glenogle Swim Centre is the closest option, a Victorian pool close to the centre with a sauna and steam room for afterwards, plus step free access and bike parking if you're coming from town. Out at Loanhead, the leisure centre has a 25m pool with a toddler pool alongside, and soft play and gym sessions under one roof, with entry from £2.70. It's a longer trip out to Kinghorn for Pettycur Bay Holiday Park, where the leisure pool session starts from £3.80 and covers ages 0 to 16, with a sauna and steam room for the adults once the kids are settled. For toddlers, Loanhead's toddler pool is the easy choice, and it's the cheapest ticket of the three. Glenogle suits older children and adults better, especially if you fancy the sauna yourselves. Pettycur Bay is worth the drive if you want to make a day of it, with toilets and indoor seating on site so you're not stuck if the weather turns. None of these are outdoor splash pads as such, so this is really about picking your pool.
