Dance in Cardiff

If your child wants to twirl about in a tutu or try their first hip hop moves, Cardiff's got a decent little scene. Flame Dance Studios, close to the centre, takes toddlers right up to 18 year olds across ballet, tap, modern theatre and hip hop, split by age and style. A bit further out in north Cardiff, En Pointe Theatre Arts starts even younger, with Tiny Ballet from age 2, and there's parking and public transport if you're driving over. For adults, Salsa Buena runs salsa and bachata classes close to the centre from £8.50, no partner needed, and beginners are welcome from their very first night, though it's 14+ and you'll need to book ahead and pay by card. If you've got a toddler, En Pointe or Flame are your best bet for starting young. If you're after something just for you, salsa's the one to try. Either way, there's no need to arrive with any experience.
