Cinemas in York
There's only one cinema on our radar right now, but it's a good one. Everyman York sits close to the centre, about a kilometre out, and it's built with comfort in mind: sofa seats instead of rows, and a proper burger menu brought right to where you're sitting. It also runs screenings aimed at babies, toddlers and anyone who can't sit still through the trailers, which is most families at some point. If you're after a relaxed watch with younger kids, look for those baby and toddler friendly screenings rather than a standard showing. The venue's wheelchair accessible with an accessible toilet on site, so getting in and around isn't a faff. And since food's sorted there too, you don't need to plan a stop beforehand, just turn up hungry.
