Splash Parks & Paddling Pools in Sheffield
If you're after a splash park close to Sheffield's centre, there's just the one on our radar, and it's a drive out to Langold. Langold Country Park has a free pirate-themed splash pad called Sea Scoundrel, with jet sprays and a slide for cooling off, set inside a country park that also has play areas and a skate park to explore afterwards. It's free, which makes the drive easier to justify, and there's parking, toilets, a changing places facility and an accessible toilet on site, plus a cafe if nobody fancies packing a picnic. The picnic area is there too if you'd rather bring your own. The splash pad suits younger children well given the play areas nearby, while older ones have the skate park and wider country park to occupy them once they've dried off.
