What it’s like
Archery, axe throwing, high ropes, a zip line and canoeing on a Norfolk site built for school, youth and corporate groups.
This is a group day out rather than a turn-up-and-play one. The land-based side covers archery, axe throwing, a high ropes course, an assault course, orienteering, a zip line and wilderness survival, and there's canoeing on the water alongside a nature trail if you want something calmer between the adrenaline stuff. It's set up for schools, colleges, corporate teams and charity groups, with programmes tailored to the group's age and size rather than a fixed menu you pick from on the day.
The minimum age is 8, so this isn't one for a family with younger kids in tow. For the age it does suit, the zip line and high ropes are the bits a group will talk about afterwards, and axe throwing is the kind of activity that doesn't turn up on many other outdoor days.
They run programmes all year round, with activities adjusted for the season, so a winter booking still gets you a full day rather than a scaled-back one. Bites by the Lake Café & Brasserie does coffee and food, though it only opens weekends from 23rd May to 30th August 2026 (closed the weekend of 20-21 June), so outside that window you'd want to sort your own food and drink.
Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are the practical asks, plus a waterproof and a refillable water bottle depending on what's on your programme. There's no online booking link here, so getting a group in means going through them directly to sort dates and numbers.
