What it’s like
Soft play with sensory areas and free weekday pre-school sessions, plus a cafe that won't let you sneak in your own snacks.
The soft play frame is the main event, with sensory play areas alongside for the younger ones who aren't up for the climbing yet. Weekdays bring free pre-school sessions, singing and dancing and action songs, which is a nice touch if you've got a toddler who needs a bit of structure before naptime. Anyone under 12 months goes in for £1 alongside a paying child, so it's not a bad shout for a baby group outing.
Prices jump at weekends and school holidays, £8.50 a child against £6.50 in term-time weekdays, and once your kid clears 148cm they're capped at the soft play equipment for £1 too, which stings a bit if you've got a tall seven-year-old who still wants to bounce about. Sessions run two hours when it's busy, so don't plan on lingering all afternoon on a Saturday. Sunday's a shorter day too, closing at 3:30pm against 5:30pm the rest of the week.
Food's cooked to order, breakfasts, toasties, pizzas, jacket potatoes, salads, mains mostly £3.50 to £9.99, and the catch is you can't bring your own in, everything has to come from the Treetops cafe. Worth knowing if you're used to smuggling in a picnic for a fussy eater. Socks are needed for the soft play bit, so pack a spare pair.
Birthday parties get their own package, soft play, invitations, food, unlimited juice, party games with prizes and a free return visit for the birthday child. Weekend parties run at £14.99 a head with a 12 child minimum, weekday ones are a flat £170 for 15 kids, so if your guest list is smaller than that it's worth doing the sums before you book a slot.
