What it’s like

Age-zoned soft play with baby corners, climbing frames and craft tables, plus a café that does more than chicken nuggets.

The play areas are split by age, so a crawling baby isn't sharing space with a nine-year-old on a climbing frame. There's craft spaces and role play sets alongside the usual scrambling and sliding, which is a nice touch if you've got a child who needs a sit-down break from the physical stuff without you needing to leave.

Pricing is split into off-peak and peak, and it makes a real difference. Off-peak, a Player ticket is £12.95 and gets unlimited play with one free adult in. Peak time bumps that to £16.95 and caps you at 2.5 hours, which stings a bit given you're paying more for less time. Extra children are £9.95 off-peak or £13.95 peak, and any extra grown-ups are £4 either way. Babies under one play free, every day, which is a genuinely decent policy.

Grip socks are required for every child, so factor that into the morning if you don't already own a drawer full of them. Booking is required, which is worth knowing if you're the type to just turn up on a Saturday. The Epic Café does barista coffee and proper food rather than an afterthought, with allergy labelling clear enough that you're not squinting at a laminated sheet.

If you're planning a party, it's £21.95 a child off-peak or £24.95 peak, and that covers 2.5 hours of unlimited play, your own party room, a host, food and party bags, plus a pick from over 20 themes. There's a £100 deposit to lock it in, and slots run at 10am or 2pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
