What it’s like
Nine holes of outdoor crazy golf with a digital challenge spinner and live leaderboard, no booking needed.
Nine holes, putters sized for little hands right through the family, and a digital scorecard that keeps a live leaderboard going so the sibling rivalry has something to point at. There's also a Challenge Spinner you can use before each hole if you fancy a bit more chaos than a straight stroke play round, though it's optional if your group just wants to get round in one piece.
A round takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on how many of you are playing and how competitive it gets. At £4 for a child and £5 for an adult it's not a big spend for an afternoon, and the family ticket at £15 for two adults and two kids works out sensibly if you're all playing. Fancy two rounds instead of one, adults go up to £7.50 and the family ticket to £22.50, which is worth it if the first nine holes leaves them wanting a rematch.
Walk in and play, no booking needed unless you're after something like Glow Golf. There's a small food van for hot food and drinks plus a basic water station, so it's not a proper meal stop, more a top-up between holes. Worth knowing the course itself is grass with raised borders rather than paved, so a buggy or wheelchair can get round but it takes a bit more effort than a smooth path, and assistance might be needed in places.
If the golf doesn't fill the whole visit, Tredegar Park has Splash 'Port water play (April to September), a play area with swings and sand, a skate park and a cycle track right there too.

Plan your visit
How much does it cost?
£4 for a child and £5 for an adult for one round, or £15 for a family of two adults and two children. Two rounds bumps an adult up to £7.50 and the family ticket to £22.50.
Do we need to book?
No, you can just walk in for general play. Booking's only needed for special events like Glow Golf.
How long does a round take?
About 30 to 45 minutes for nine holes, depending on your group size and how much you're messing about with the Challenge Spinner.
Is it OK for toddlers?
The putters come in sizes down to little hands, so young ones can join in, though the grass course with its raised borders is a bit more of a wobble for a buggy than a flat path.
Is there food?
A small food van does hot food and drinks, plus there's a basic water station. It's a snack stop rather than a sit-down meal.
Is there parking?
There's a council-run car park on site. It costs a small fee during the day but is free after 4pm.
Can we bring the dog?
On a lead, and you'll need to keep them away from the hole borders and clean up after them.
Can we book a birthday party?
Group bookings for birthdays, school trips and family gatherings are welcome, arranged by email.
What if it's raining?
It's an outdoor course so it can close in genuinely bad weather, but otherwise it runs as normal rain or shine.
