What it’s like

A full day of zip wire, caving, climbing and canoeing on site near Thetford, priced by the session or as a residential.

This is an outdoor activity centre built around a proper list of things to try: archery, caving, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, a giant swing and a zip wire among them. A full day activity session runs 10am to 4pm and costs £42, which buys you a genuinely varied programme rather than one activity on repeat. Smaller groups can join these Adventure Sessions without needing a full private booking.

If you want more than a day, the residential programmes stretch from two days at £175 up to five days at £365, with camping at £12.50 a night if you fancy sleeping under canvas rather than in a dorm. Catering is £5 for breakfast, £7 for lunch and £9 for dinner, though that's a Monday to Friday arrangement, so a weekend visit means sorting your own food. Winter bookings between November and February get a 20% discount on residentials, which is worth having if the timing works for you.

The catch for smaller families is the private booking minimum of 10 people, so this reads more as a school trip or group outing than a spontaneous Saturday for four. Prices quoted also exclude VAT, which gets added on at booking, so the number you see isn't quite the number you pay. The raft building and shelter building sessions are the ones that sound like they'd stick in a child's memory longer than the climbing wall would.

There's toilets on site and it runs all year round, so a wet week doesn't rule it out. Team challenges and orienteering sit alongside the bigger adrenaline stuff like the powerfan and high ropes, which gives a day here a proper mix of quiet problem-solving and genuine height and speed.
