What it’s like
Films, bowling, pool, darts and karaoke all under one roof, with party packages for kids that bundle in food and a host.
This one's not just a trip to the pictures. Alongside the cinema screens there's bowling, American pool, interactive darts and shuffleboard, plus karaoke if your lot fancy embarrassing themselves after the film. It means you can turn a two-hour outing into a proper half-day if the kids are up for it, mixing a film with a game of pool or a few frames of bowling.
Kids' parties start at £14.50 a head, which gets you a host, a decorated party table for an hour, food and unlimited squash. Booking is done through their online party portal and you need at least 7 kids to book a party slot, up to a maximum of 30. The food side is the usual party spread, burgers, pizza, chicken strips and waffle fries, with gluten-free pizza and vegan cheese available if you ask. They won't provide a cake but you can bring your own, and they'll supervise the cutting.
If you're not doing a party, there's still a food court on site doing pizza, burgers and sharing platters, so you don't need to have eaten before you arrive. Every screen has wheelchair and lift access, and carers get a free companion ticket through the CEA card scheme. There's also a hearing loop and sensory-friendly sessions listed, which is handy if the usual cinema noise levels are a problem for your child.
Worth knowing before you book a party: full payment is taken upfront to secure the slot, and cancelling with less than 14 days' notice means no refund, just a reschedule. That's a bit of a faff if plans change last minute.
