What it’s like
Baby and toddler screenings with the sound turned down and cake included, plus school holiday films at half price for older kids.
Baby Club is for under-ones, Toddler Club covers ages one to five, and both come with reduced volume, dimmed lighting and a hot drink plus cake or popcorn thrown in. Toddler Club even allocates seating for two people per ticket, which is a nice touch if you're juggling a small child who won't sit still. Buggies have to stay clear of the fire escapes though, and on busy Baby Club sessions there may not be room inside the auditorium for them at all, so you could end up leaving it outside.
Once they're past five, it's Family Film Club during the school holidays, off-peak screenings with 50% off every child ticket, no limit on numbers. There's also a Family Ticket for two adults and two kids up to 14 on select screenings. Outside of clubs, babies under 12 months can come along to any U or PG film before 5pm free of charge, any day of the week, but that cut-off is firm; no babies allowed in after 5pm at all.
Food comes from the Spielburger kitchen, pizzas and burgers plus sharing plates, and there's waiter service to your seat if you fancy not queuing at the bar with a toddler in tow. It's full step-free access with a lift from both street entrances, and wheelchair spaces are held in all three screens. There's no car park on site.
Booking ahead is recommended, and there's a £2.50 fee per transaction online which you can dodge by buying at the box office instead. Just know that everything's non-refundable, and you've only got a 24-hour window before the screening to swap it for another time.
