What it’s like
Free storytime sessions for babies and toddlers, three mornings a week, no booking needed.
Storytime here is short and simple: half an hour of stories and rhymes aimed squarely at under-fours, running Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. It's the sort of thing you can slot into a morning without much planning, since there's no booking and it's free.
For a baby or a one-year-old, thirty minutes is about the right stretch before attention wanders, and for a toddler who's just getting into songs and repetition, three sessions a week means you're never far from the next one. It's not a big day out, but it doesn't need to be. Turn up, join in, and you're free by 11am to get on with the rest of the day.
There's a café on site if you want a coffee before or after, and the building's wheelchair accessible with toilets and wifi, so it's easy enough with a buggy in tow. Given the age range tops out at four, this one's really for the pre-school crowd rather than anyone older who'll be after something with a bit more to do.
