What it’s like
A large-group escape room challenge with tech, lighting and sound effects, built for teens and grown-ups working as one team.
This isn't your usual two-to-six-person escape room. Synergy 1.0 is built for big groups, up to 24 people in one go, all solving the same puzzles together with dramatic lighting and sound effects doing their bit to ramp up the tension. There's a Spy Academy option too, which reads like the version aimed at younger teens rather than a full adult crowd.
Every group needs at least one adult over 18, and the site is upfront that this is really a 12-plus experience even though the general minimum age they list is 8. Worth thinking about who you're bringing before you book rather than after. You get 60 minutes with a dedicated host running things, and how energetic it gets is down to your group, not the room.
Food and drink don't go in with you during the experience itself, though you can book a room before or after and add catering if you want to make more of the day. That's a bit of a faff if you've got a hungry crew, but it does mean you can turn a session into a proper party with the party room options on offer.
One to flag: there are no refunds once you've booked, only reschedules with 48 hours notice. So if plans are shaky, hold off booking until they're firmer. Wheelchair access can be sorted too, but they want notice ahead of your visit rather than a walk-in request.
