What it’s like

Pantomimes, plays and film nights at a small community theatre on Biscombes Lane.

Pantomime season is the big draw here, along with theatre productions, plays and the odd film night, all put on at a proper local venue rather than a school hall stretching itself thin. It's the sort of programme that rewards checking what's on before you commit an evening, since the mix changes across the year.

Booking is online or through the box office, and the phone line is worth knowing about if you'd rather talk to a person: 0333 666 3366, no call charges, staffed Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. That's a generous window for a small venue, so you're not stuck trying to book at odd hours.

Finding it is straightforward once you know the route: off the A388 into Callington, straight over the roundabout, second left into New Road, then first left into the large public car park. The theatre itself is on Biscombes Lane, directly opposite. Parking there is free in the evening, though it's a public car park rather than one the venue runs.
