What it’s like

Paint your own pottery or have a go at handbuilding, then leave it with them to glaze and fire.

This is a studio for sitting down and making something with your hands, whether that's painting a piece of pottery someone else has already thrown, or having a go at building your own from scratch. They glaze and fire whatever you make, so you're not walking out with a finished mug, you're coming back for one later.

The site lists a four week course at £125, which is the only price they give. That's a proper commitment rather than a drop-in afternoon, so if you're after a one-off session for a birthday or a rainy Saturday, it's worth knowing this is really built around the course structure rather than a quick in-and-out visit. Weekend opening is Saturday 11 to 4 and Sunday 11 to 3, and weekday or evening sessions need booking ahead.

There's no age guidance given. Younger kids who like getting stuck into something tactile might take to the handbuilding, older ones with steadier hands will probably get more out of the painting side.

Private hire is available if you want the place to yourselves, which could suit a birthday group better than trying to fit round other bookings. There's nothing here about food on site.

Private hire available
  • The £125 course is a four week commitment, not a one-off session price
  • Weekend hours are shorter on Sunday, 11 to 3 versus 11 to 4 on Saturday
  • Glazing and firing happens after your visit, so you won't leave with a finished piece that day
  • Private hire is an option if you want the space just for your group

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

The only price they give is £125 for a four week course. There's no separate single-session price listed.

Do we need to book?

Weekday and evening sessions need booking ahead. Weekend hours are Saturday 11 to 4 and Sunday 11 to 3.

What age is this suitable for?

They don't give an age range, so it's really down to whether your child can sit still for painting or has the coordination for handbuilding clay.

Can we do a birthday party there?

Private hire is available, which gets the space to yourselves rather than sharing with other visitors.
