Seaside Splatter
ENTRY
from £20
WHERE
Brighton and Hove
What it’s like
Splatter a canvas with brushes or water pistols, or go full neon under UV lights.
This isn't the sit-quietly-and-glaze-a-mug sort of pottery place. You get a 12 by 16 inch canvas and either a brush or a water pistol loaded with paint, and you go at it. The regular session is £20, and if you want to do it under UV light with fluorescent paint that's £30, which feels like the one to save for a birthday rather than a random Tuesday.
There's no set age range given, so it's worth thinking about who you're bringing rather than assuming it's for everyone. The water pistol bit sounds like the part that gets remembered, though a brush works just as well if paint-flinging chaos isn't your idea of a good afternoon.
Parties can take over the whole studio for up to 10 people, which is a decent size for a birthday without it turning into a free-for-all. The studio is wheelchair accessible with a ramp, and lowered canvases are available so it's not just the standing-height crowd who get to splatter.
There's no booking link listed. Gift vouchers are going too, and they work against any session, neon or otherwise.
