What it’s like
Paintball, airsoft, axe throwing and a proper assault course, aimed at over-16s rather than younger kids.
This one's for the older teenagers, not the family with a six-year-old in tow. The minimum age is 16, so it's more a do for a group of sixth-formers or a big birthday than a Saturday afternoon with the little ones. What's on offer reads like a proper adventure day: an assault course, paintball, airsoft, a gun range, nerf wars with foam darts, bubble football, axe throwing, bushcraft and gel wars. There's also team building command tasks and sessions on navigation and shelter building.
Around Halloween they run a "Nightmare Prison Break" event at £20 a head, which gives you a sense of the sort of pricing to expect, though that's just the one listed event rather than a general day rate. Booking is required, which makes sense given the range of activities on offer, you're not turning up on spec and picking an axe off a rack.
There's parking on site, which is about the only practical detail they give you, so don't expect much else spelled out beyond that. Given the age floor and the activity list, this reads as a stag do, birthday, or older-teen group booking rather than a general kids' day out, and you'd want to check numbers and what exactly is included before committing a group to it.
