What it’s like
A school holiday camp with daily swimming, VR Mario Kart, ceramics and a Friday show, for ages 4 to 16.
This is a holiday camp rather than a one-off day out, running across the school holidays at Thorpe St Andrew School. The pool sessions happen every single day, supervised by lifeguards, and the site leans on the school's own facilities: 4G pitches, sports halls, tennis courts, a theatre space. Kids also get board games and VR Mario Kart, ceramic art, and a weekly baking session where they cook their own treats and can bring the results home in a Tupperware.
Every week builds to an end-of-week show, usually the Friday (Thursday over Easter, so as not to clash with Good Friday). Your child can invite one or two close family members along, and you'll need their QR code to get in, since it's not open to the public. That's a nice bit of structure to a week that could otherwise feel like a loose run of activities.
Standard days run 9am to 5pm at £50, dropping to £45 if you book more than a fortnight ahead using their advance code. Early drop-off from 8am and late pick-up to 6pm are £5 a day each, and there's an optional £5-a-day booking protection cover if you want it. Book a full Monday to Friday week and you get 20% off, though be warned: split that week across two different weeks and the discount disappears, with no refund if you only miss a single day.
There's no catering on site, so a full packed lunch is required daily, and nuts are banned outright, not just in lunchboxes but in spreads too. Children need to be fully toilet trained before they can attend, and while level 1 SEND is welcomed within a mainstream camp setup, 1:1 support isn't available, so it's worth ringing ahead if that's a concern. Parking on site is free for drop-off and pick-up.
