Drop-in salsa and bachata classes most nights of the week, no partner or booking needed, £12 a session.

This is a proper adults' dance night rather than a one-off lesson. You turn up, pay £12 on the door and get stuck into salsa or bachata depending on the night, with no need to bring a partner or book ahead. That drop-in setup is the whole point: if you fancy a Tuesday on a whim, you can just go.

The week's spread out nicely. Tuesday runs late at 20:00 to 22:10, while Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday sessions start earlier in the evening and wrap up by 21:00 or 21:20. That gives you options if work or the kids' bedtime routine gets in the way of one night, since there's almost always another class a day or two later.

It's cash only, which is a small faff if you're used to tapping your card for everything, so it's worth having £12 in your pocket before you leave the house. Toilets are on site, and beyond that it's a straightforward class format: you learn steps, you swap partners as the group rotates, and you leave having actually danced rather than watched.

Absolute beginners are welcome alongside people who've been coming for years, since no partner is required and the classes are pitched for all levels. It suits anyone wanting a regular night out that isn't just a pub, or a way to learn a skill without committing to a course.
