What it’s like
Free Manchester science museum on Liverpool Road - engines, hands-on halls and a proper cafe.
The Science and Industry Museum is the Castlefield rainy-day backup that still feels like a proper day out. Free entry, donations welcome, and enough engines and interactive kit to burn a morning.
Soft Play is N - there is hands-on science, not a soft-play centre. Cafe on site and school-holiday programmes when you need structure.
Open daily 10:00-17:00 (closed Christmas and New Year). Easy from Deansgate / Castlefield.
