What it’s like

Slides, ball pits and climbing look-outs for the under-tens, with a trampoline park next door under separate access.

This is the soft play side of a bigger trampoline site, and it's built for the smaller ones: slides, ball pits, climbing areas and swings, plus little look-out spots for kids who'd rather survey the room than dive into the pit. Ages one to ten are catered for, with non-walkers under a year getting their own cheaper rate, so a baby who can't do much more than sit in a ball pit still has a reason to be there.

Grip socks are compulsory for anyone jumping, at £2.50 if you turn up without a pair, and worth just packing to skip the queue. Prices shift with the clock: off-peak is £6.50 for a child, peak days push it to £9, and the timetable is a bit of a puzzle in itself, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only run 10 till 2 while weekends and holidays stretch 9 to 5. Booking's needed rather than optional, so this isn't a turn-up-and-see kind of visit.

Food is on-site only. No outside snacks or drinks get in, bar baby food and a birthday cake for booked parties, and the café sits up on a mezzanine with no lift, so anyone using a wheelchair or a buggy that can't manage stairs is pointed to the ground-floor dessert parlour instead. Parking's free, in a marked yellow bay area behind the building, which is one less thing to think about on the way in.

Birthday parties run as a separate package, from £16 a head for the Toddler Takeover up to £20.50 for the Jump and Play version, both with a minimum of ten people. Worth noting the soft play and the trampoline park are run as separate areas, so a party here is a soft-play affair rather than a bouncing one unless you've booked the other side too.

Plan your visit

How much does it cost?

£6.50 for a child off-peak, rising to £9 at peak times. Under-ones get a reduced non-walker rate of £4.50.

Do we need to book?

Yes, booking is required rather than just turning up.

What are the opening hours?

Monday, Thursday and Friday it's 10am to 5pm, Tuesday and Wednesday just 10am to 2pm, and weekends and holidays run 9am to 5pm.

Is it suitable for a toddler?

It's aimed at ages one to ten, with a separate non-walker rate for babies under a year, so there's room for the youngest ones too.

Can we bring our own food?

Outside food and drink isn't allowed, apart from baby food and a birthday cake if you've booked a party. The on-site café and vending machines cover the rest.

Is there parking?

Free parking in the yellow-marked bays right behind the building.

Do you need grip socks?

All jumpers need them and they're £2.50 to buy if you haven't got a pair already.

Is it wheelchair accessible?
