What it’s like
Timed 90-minute soft play sessions for under-sevens, with a crawler zone, Arthur the Tractor and a cashless café.
This one's built for the small end of soft play: crawlers and pre-walkers get their own space, walkers get the run of the main frame, and Arthur the Tractor seems to be the thing everyone ends up playing on. It suits babies through to about seven, and the session structure (90 minutes, capped at 30 children) means it never feels like you're wading through a birthday party of eleven-year-olds to get to the ball pit.
You book and pay online only, no cash accepted on the day, and you'll want to book ahead since sessions do fill. It's £15 for a child, £10 if they're still crawling, and adults pay £4.50 to come in too, which adds up if you've brought grandparents along. One adult has to stay in the soft play with your child throughout, so this isn't a sit-and-scroll-your-phone kind of visit.
Food is on-site only. There's a café doing a seasonal kids' menu with an organic, healthy lean, and outside food isn't allowed at all because of their allergen rules, so don't bring a packed lunch expecting to sneak it in. Scooters get left in the buggy park rather than brought inside, and there's a spacious covered buggy park for pushchairs and space for car seats indoors too.
Parking is free for three hours if you register your car on the café iPad, and the venue is wheelchair accessible with a bit of notice. If your child's poorly and you need to cancel, you'll want to do it 48 hours out for a refund; anything later and you can rebook within two weeks for a £6 top-up rather than losing the money outright.
