What it’s like

Pirate-themed indoor play in Wokingham, run in timed sessions that you book ahead rather than turning up and hoping.

This is a booking job rather than a turn-up-and-play one. Sessions run to a timed slot, so you'll want to sort that before you leave the house rather than chance it on the day. What's actually on the equipment isn't spelled out beyond the pirate theme running through it, but the birthday parties give a decent clue: there's a treasure hunt built in, which suggests the play area leans into the theme rather than just being a generic frame with a pirate flag stuck on top.

The party offer is the most detailed thing on the table. £18.95 a child gets 1.5 hours with a host, unlimited squash and water, branded invitations and the treasure hunt activity, with a minimum of 10 children and a cap of 30 at the Wokingham site. That's a proper structured party rather than a loose free-for-all, which some parents will love and others will find a bit much to organise for a five-year-old's birthday.

Food-wise there's a coffee shop doing the usual coffee and juices alongside sandwiches and children's meal deals. Outside food isn't allowed unless you've agreed a dietary exception in advance, so if your child is a fussy eater with a very specific lunch requirement, sort that out with them ahead of time rather than assuming you can just bring a box.

Parking is at Denmark Street car park nearby rather than on site, and it's worth being deliberate about that: the neighbouring Aldi car park looks tempting but they warn you could get a penalty charge for using it. The venue closes on Christmas Day and shuts for maintenance on the 13th of January, though the Camberley and Farnham branches stay open if you're desperate for a pirate fix that day.
