What it’s like
Music and sensory sessions for babies and toddlers, with parachute games, bubbles and Makaton signing woven into every class.
Singing and instruments are the backbone of every session here, but it's the extras that make it stick in a toddler's memory: parachute games, bubbles, sensory lights and props, all built around a theme like space or under the sea. There's Makaton sign language running through the classes too, which is a nice touch if you're trying to get ahead of the "more" and "milk" signs at home.
Babies from three months who aren't walking yet go into Baby Rhymers, and once they're on their feet they move up into the toddler classes, which run up to age four. That's a sensible split. A three-month-old and a boisterous three-year-old want very different things from a parachute game, and it sounds like the sessions are pitched accordingly rather than trying to keep everyone happy at once.
If you're planning a birthday, they'll do a one-hour party with a session leader for up to 15 children for £195. That's not pocket change for an hour, but you're paying for someone else to run the whole thing, drumming, bubbles and all, while you hand round the party rings. Worth knowing that parties outside the Manchester area can attract a surcharge, so factor that in if you're further out.

Is it suitable for a very young baby?
