What it’s like
Sit down and paint a pot to keep, with proper café food and cake while you work.
This is pottery painting, not a soft play or a splash pad, so picture your six-year-old sat at a table for an hour or so, brush in hand, deciding whether the mug is going to be blue or "all the colours". From £9.95 a pot, it is not pocket change for what's essentially a bit of glaze and some patience, but you come away with something that actually sits on a shelf afterwards.
The café side is doing more than filling the gap between pots. There's proper breakfast and lunch, homemade cakes, barista coffee and milkshakes, so a parent who fancies a flat white while the kids paint isn't an afterthought here. Vegetarian and halal options are both listed, which is a small but useful detail if that's a factor for your table.
Birthday parties run Saturday and Sunday at 10am or 3pm, and there's a Wednesday after-school slot at 4:30pm, all at £24 a child for an hour and 45 minutes with pizza, sandwiches, drinks and ice cream built in. The minimum of 8 children is worth knowing before you start planning a small gathering, since it pushes the price up fast if your guest list is short. Tuesday and Thursday evenings the whole place flips into adults-only pottery painting with a sharing menu and BYOB, so those slots are off the table if you're bringing children.
Everything needs booking ahead rather than turning up on spec, and with ages starting at 6 this suits the primary school crowd far more than toddlers who'll want to eat the paint.
